Shannon Perry

Happy New Year and welcome to the first edition of “Shannon Shares” for 2008!

It has been a GREAT 2008 and as always, God is up to new and exciting things here at Chae Music.  First of all, the new website is up and running!  Please check it out at www.shannonperry.com and let us know what you think.  Thanks to Alex Rodriguez, my web designer at Arod Web Solutions for helping me with all of the details on the site.  It is LOADED with information, so be sure to check out each page.

I was privileged to fly to Nashville last week and work with an incredible writer from “Lifeway” music group, Mr. Paul Marino.  Paul is an incredibly talented man, and has a passion for sharing the message of Jesus with those who are hurting.  Paul and I are working on three of his songs that will be released to Inspirational radio later in the year, so please be in prayer for us.

The “Tell the Story” tour has begun, and so far, we have had an incredible response from those in attendance.  This tour includes songs from the “Tell the Story” CD, as well as video footage of three people telling their story.  This event is a loving reminder that we all have a story to tell and that we MUST share it!  There are so many people in our world who may not listen to a sermon-but they will listen to YOUR story as you share what Christ has done and is doing in your life.  Based on Revelation 12:11, this tour reminds us that we can be overcomers by the power of our testimony!  I would love to see you at one of the tour stops (see schedule on site) or come to your church to present this powerful message.  God is honored when we give Him glory with our lives-so go TELL YOUR STORY!

Skydiving!

Thank you to First United Methodist Church in Trinity, Texas for allowing us to hold the first tour date at your “Celebration” meeting.  This group had twelve different churches represented at their meeting.  How exciting!  A special thanks to those at Cypress Trails United Methodist for allowing me to minister at your meeting as well.  God is up to great things in these groups, and I am privileged to minister alongside such wonderful ladies.

One last tid-bit of information-I literally “jumped” into 2008 when my son Sean and I went skydiving on January 5.  Talk about being closer to God!  I have always wanted to go, and Sean made special arrangements to give the trip to me as a Christmas gift.  Jumping out of that plane at 13,500 feet was unlike any feeling I had ever known-it was incredible!!  It is one of the most memorable gifts I have ever received-thank you Sean!

Until next month, know that you are loved by THE Author of the greatest story ever told.

Telling My Story,

Shannon
